At Centre Hospitalier de Bhannes, the Physical Rehabilitation and Functional Recovery Center (Pavilion Saint Vincent) provides comprehensive rehabilitative care through a multidisciplinary approach.
Our expert team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists offer personalized treatments to both inpatients and outpatients, helping them regain function and improve their quality of life. Equipped with cutting-edge facilities, including a specialized hydrotherapy pool, we ensure holistic and effective recovery for each patient.
Our Specialized Rehabilitation
At Pavilion Saint Vincent, we prioritize comprehensive rehabilitation to ensure every patient achieves their highest potential for recovery.
The CRMF welcomes patients transitioning from the acute phase of an illness, providing medical stabilization and functional rehabilitation.
This facility is accessible to both inpatients and outpatients. It is fully equipped to accommodate individuals with severe disabilities, offering barrier-free access and protection from weather conditions.
Facilities:
- Upper Floor: Features private rooms and double rooms, with a total capacity of 40 patients.
- Ground Floor: Spacious indoor and outdoor areas, designed to comfortably care for up to 50 patients per day.
The physiotherapy room is equipped with 10 private cabins and 12 tilt tables in the center, aiding in the patient’s medical stabilization while standing. It also features advanced rehabilitation equipment, including:
- 2 large frames with pelvic harness suspension.
- 3 small walking frames with pelvic support.
- Treadmill with suspension system.
Staff & Schedule:
- 12 physiotherapists working in two shifts:
- 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Part-time occupational therapist.
- Part-time speech therapist.
At CRMF, occupational therapy supports adults, seniors, and adolescents with neurological and orthopedic conditions through the following stages:
- Assessment and Evaluation
- Prevention and Guidance
- Rehabilitation
- Adaptation and Home Adjustments
Services include:
- Advising on home modifications to prepare for the patient’s return, such as toilet risers, shower seats, and grab bars.
- Providing customized assistive tools, including adapted utensils, toothbrushes, pencils, and computer accessories.
Session Details:
- Duration: 30 minutes per session.
- Frequency: Daily or 3 times per week, based on patient needs.
Helping patients regain independence through occupational therapy activities.
For patients who can benefit from water-based treatments, our facility offers a spacious 400m² hydrotherapy area featuring:
- A large 10x10m pool with static water.
- A smaller 2x5m pool with dynamic water.
Designed to support rehabilitation and recovery in a relaxing and therapeutic environment.
Assessment and Diagnosis:
The speech therapist conducts a thorough evaluation to identify the nature and severity of disorders affecting swallowing, voice, and cognitive or executive functions. This includes specialized tests and clinical observations, leading to a personalized treatment plan.
Interventions Include:
- Language and Communication Therapy – Targeted exercises to improve speech and communication skills.
- Swallowing Rehabilitation – Techniques to enhance safety and efficiency during eating and drinking.
- Voice Therapy – Customized programs to improve voice quality through therapeutic education, exercises, and vocal training.
- Cognitive Training – Exercises to enhance memory, attention, and executive functioning.
Examples of Progress:
- Improved Swallowing: Stroke patients who initially struggle with swallowing may gradually regain the ability to eat solid foods safely.
- Language Recovery: Patients with aphasia can regain the ability to form sentences and actively engage in conversations.
Monthly subscription for stretching and aqua gym sessions in groups of 12 participants, held weekly.
